Community Affiliations and Charitable Giving
H&C Metals, Inc. & Balemet Recycling take great pride in its associations with many fine charitable organizations & have made the supporting of charities a long-term priority and commitment. For example, we have been working very closely with numerous NJ Fire Departments for decades, who raise funds to support The Saint Barnabas Hospital Burn Foundation (the research and fundraising arm of The Burn Center, Livingston NJ) and a program called “Aluminum Cans for Burned Children”. The value paid by H&C Metals, Inc. is based on a premium price & supplies the Fire Departments with a check made payable directly to the Saint Barnabas Burn Foundation.
“I want to thank H&C Metals, Inc. for their support over the past 24 years. They helped build our Aluminum Cans for Burned Children program into the success it is today through their friendly and efficient relationship with our participating fire departments. We’ll always be very grateful for that.”

“Our departments ACBC program would not be possible without the fantastic service we receive from H&C Metals, Inc. The assistance we receive from your staff when we bring in our trailer is excellent! We look forward to enhancing our program and with your continued assistance will help us do just that.”

H&C Metals, Inc. agreed to partner with the Ironbound Catholic Academy (located in Newark) with its 2013-2014, 8th-grade fundraiser. The goal of the school was to teach students about the importance of recycling while also realizing needed funds for the 8th-grade graduation ceremonies. H&C Metals, Inc. accepted Used Beverage Cans (Aluminum cans) and other small amounts of scrap metal collected by the students. The students delivered the “UBC’s” over a period of several months to H&C Metals, Inc., and at the conclusion of the fundraiser, H&C paid the Academy at the same rate H&C would receive for the sale of the UBC’s.
